Allocation and ownership
Understand supported spend attribution and why association does not define organizational decision ownership.
Kadryn can associate AI spend with supported business context. That association is not the same thing as organizational decision ownership.
What can spend be attributed to?
Supported contexts can include project, team, feature, customer, environment, and other modeled business scopes where the required context is available to Kadryn.
The quality and completeness of attribution depend on the metadata and source data available for the relevant usage.
Does attribution identify who must decide?
No. Product or business attribution does not infer the real organizational decision owner.
Spend association can help explain where cost belongs. Explicit decision ownership belongs to the decision workflow and must be assigned or represented there rather than inferred from attribution alone.
Why data health matters
Missing, stale, ambiguous, or low-quality metadata can weaken attribution. Before using an allocation for a finance, governance, or operational decision, verify that the relevant context and data-health signals support the interpretation.
Safe interpretation
- Attribution answers where supported spend context is associated.
- Decision ownership answers who is explicitly responsible for the next decision.
- Those are separate concepts even when the same person or team appears in both workflows.
- Do not infer margin impact, causal ROI, or organizational authority from attribution alone.
